- In this video, I'm reviewing three classic Gillette safety razors that were given to me by my good friend Jimmy G: the 195 Fatboy, the Slim adjustable, and the Black Beauty.
The 195 Fatboy is and adjustable safety razor from the 1950s and is known for its thick "fatboy" handle. The Slim adjustable is also from the 1950s with a slimmer handle, allowing for a customized shave.
The Black Beauty is an adjustable safety razor from the 1960s with a black handle and chrome-plated head.
I had a great time reviewing these three retro Gillette safety razors, and I hope you enjoyed the video. The 195 Fatboy, Slim adjustable, and Black Beauty are all classic razors that have stood the test of time!

I've been pretty lucky to have found a 1958 Fatboy and a 1966 Slim Adjustable last year at an antique store near me and they both shave like a Dream. It's also awesome you used Clubman Vanilla. I gave my Grandpa 2 bottles of that aftershave when he was alive and he loved the smell of it! Would put a smile on his face. Love the Vids man and I Will.......

I’d say medium- but the mild is pretty sweet too!
Sometimes when I feel not to use the Mach 3 or fusion pro glide I use my fatboy

I like the slim better for the actual shave - but the Fatboy is the iconic razor.
Do you have a favorite foil shaver
I’ve never had good success with foil shavers to be honest. I would say that Braun makes top tier products in this segment tho. Thanks for watching 👋🏽
That's not the original black beauty you have its the later released black beauty because the first model had a metal base whereas the later ones have a plastic base
I believe the one I have has a metal base. I’ll check again. I got it from Jimmy G and he’s the real deal.
